Texas A&M University is a very big university, it offers a wide range of options to students to live on campus of the university. The students can live in university's Corps Housing, Residence Halls & White Creek and Garden Apartments. Currently there are over 2,600 students living in 12 halls on the Corps of Cadet Quad. Residence Hall & Creek Apartments have 25 on campus residence halls and modern apartments. And, the Garden apartments are on campus university apartment only for graduate students, married students, international students, U.S. military veteran students and upper-class undergraduate students. In total over 11,000 students live in all of these residences and apartments.

Texas A&M University has its main campus in College Station and two branch campuses. One of the branch campus is in Galveston, Texas, while, other branch campus is at Doha, Qatar. The main campus of Texas A&M University (TAMU) is home to most of its colleges, schools and departments such as; College of Agriculture & Life Science, School of Architecture, College of Arts & Science, Mays Business School, School of Dentistry, School of Education & Human Development, and many more. Galveston campus offers 15 undergraduate and 6 postgraduate programs in science, business, engineering, liberal arts and transportation. Meanwhile Doha campus is the international campus of the university and it mostly offers engineering programs.

You are required a visa to enter the United States, if you are a foreigner, for work, study and tourism purposes. Similarly, international students also require a visa called student visa to enter the United States to pursue higher education. The United States offers three types of student visas; F-1, J-1, and M-1 visa. The F-1 visa is for international students enrolled in undergraduate and graduate degree programs. M-1 visa is for international students enrolled in vocational studies courses and J-1 visa is for international students attending American universities on a student exchange programs. The cost of for all types of student visa is $160.

The mode of instructions for all the programs and courses at Texas A&M University is in English language. So, all international students are required to prove their proficiency in the English language. Texas A&M University (TAMU) accepts all the major English tests scores for English proficiency test. The average TOEFL score required for most of the courses at Texas A&M University is 80, and the average IELTS score requirement is 6.0 for most of the programs offered at Texas A&M University. However, each programme and course have its own specific requirement for English language. Therefore, it is advisable to check the programme page on official website of the university.
