Eligibility to be a Lecturer:

  1. Educational Qualification To be eligible to be a lecturer one should hold at least a Master Degree in any of the relevant subject with at least 55% marks in it. Higher qualifications are always preferred.
  2. Interested candidate has to appear in MH SET exam which is held twice a year and pass it.This is the only hurdle to be cleared to be eligible to get a job as a lecturer In a college.

The candidates need to qualify for both papers that are paper 1 and paper 2 in order to be eligible to qualify for the MH SET exam. The candidates have to score a minimum of 40 per cent marks (Unreserved category) and 35 per cent of marks to qualify for the MH SET exam. However, among the candidates crossing the minimum qualifying marks, the top 6 per cent of the candidates will be made qualified for the Assistant Professor.

No, the Andhra Pradesh TET 2025 result has not been declared. The Department of School Education, the Government of Andhra Pradesh will announce the APTET results as scorecard containing the marks obtained by candidates in the exam. The APTET 2025 result link will be displayed at aptet.apcfss.in.

PSTET Paper 2 also has 5 sections, but the content of these sections is different from that of Paper 1. The sections in Paper 2 are

  • Child Development and Pedagogy
  • Language 1 (Punjabi)
  • Language 2 (English)
  • Mathematics and Science
  • Social Studies/Social Science

Each section is of equal weightage, and candidates need to score minimum of 60% marks to qualify the exam. The exam is conducted fora duration of 2.5 hours, and there is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
