It is possible for candidates to crack TJEE through self study, if they have planned a proper preparation plan. Candidates are advised to complete the syllabus quickly so that they have enough time for revision and mock tests.

According to previous years' analysis, majority of the students find Mathematics as the most difficult section to prepare in TJEE. Most questions in Mathematics are lengthy and require more concentration.

Since TJEE syllabus will be on the same level as 12th standard (or equivalent) examination, NCERT books will cover the major topics that have to be studied for the exam. However, the candidates are advised to refer to other important books so that they are able to gain a better understanding of the concepts and topics that will be present in the TJEE question paper.
