Yes, UG Diploma at the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), Shimla is better than AIHM Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management, Shimla. This is because the IHM is run by the government of India, whereas the AIHM is a private Institution. The government issued certificates have more value in India than that of the private institutions. The government institutions also have lower fees compared to the private institutions. The curriculum for both the Institutions are almost similar. The placements in AIHM Institute seem to be dependent completely on the capabilities of the Students. As per the latest report of 2023, Institute of Hotel Management, shimla the highest salary package offered to the students was 35,000 per month. The average package is 15 to 20 thousand per month and the lowest package is 8 to 9 thousand per month.
