The UGC conducts the NET to determine eligibility for the post of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and for lectureships in Indian universities and colleges. If you have completed your postgraduation in Political Science, you may consider appearing for the NET examination in Political Science. In the UGC NET examination, there are two papers - Paper I and Paper II. Paper I is a common paper for all subjects and it tests the general aptitude and teaching/research potential of the candidate. Paper II is subject-specific and tests the candidate's knowledge and understanding of the subject.
