In addition to full-time PhD studies, UIET provides four-year Bachelor of Engineering (BE) and Master of Engineering (ME) programmes in a variety of engineering specialties. The Panjab University in Chandigarh's department of engineering and technology is known as the University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET), and NIRF has designated it as a Tier-1 institute. It offers undergraduate (BE), graduate (MTech degree), and doctorate programmes and is funded by the Indian federal government.

During the 2022 placement drive, 15 recruiters actively participated and offered 223 jobs to students. 

Some of the major recruiters included Cognizant, Deloitte, KPMG, and ZS Associates. The highest salary package of INR 44 LPA was recorded, while the average salary was INR 6.96 LPA.

The selection criteria is based on the JEE-Main entrance exam for admission into the B.Tech programme.
