The university acknowledges the applications in line with the university’s rules and procedures. Students might hear from the university in four to eight weeks after submitting their applications. However, the university releases it’s admission decisions on their official portal in mid-March for freshman applicants, and the Students will receive an email from the university regarding the decision.

University of California Santa Barbara asks for a minimum 3.4 score in all A-G courses. Only the grades you earn in A-G subjects in the tenth and eleventh grades – including summer sessions – are used to calculate your preliminary GPA. Irrespective of grades, UCSB wants its applicants to be all-rounders as well. UC Santa Barbara acceptance rate is 29%. With such a low acceptance rate, it is very hard to get into the university. UC Santa Barbara is very selective in admissions. International students applying for various programs at UC Santa Barbara should check the admission eligibility and admission deadline for their courses.
