The University does not have any issues with students working part time, as long as they stay within the allowed limit of 20 hours per week.
When students work moderate hours, it's often seen as a valuable way to gain experience, build soft skills, and ease financial pressure, provided academics remain the student's priority.

At University of East Anglia, some course have allowed students to have Work Placements as a part of their course. This will help the students to gain more work experience and skills. Most of the international students who have a Student or Tier 4 Visa are allowed to work in the UK. Work Placements are explained as follows:
- It must be assessed and an integral part of the course the student has taken.
- The work must not be longer than 1/3rd of the total time of the course
- The student can apply for and accept jobs in paid roles which can be of any level. It is not necessary for the student to work on-campus.
