According to the World University ranking of QS 2025, there is a huge reduction in the University of Florida rankings compared to 2024. The university was ranked at #168 (2024) which is now ranking at #215 in 2025. However, there is a slight improvement in the Global MBA category rankings. The university went from #69 to #60. In addition, the university ranked well in categories such as Architecture and Build Environment; Communication and Media Studies; Global MBA; Nursing; Pharmacy and Pharmacology.

The global rankings at University of Florida has shown a decreasing trend in comparison to the last few years. According to THE, the university has been ranked at #132 in 2024 and #130 in 2025. Florida University has been ranking well in many categories such as Law, Psychology, PG Business and Economics, Clinical and Health, Engineering, etc. The factors that are assessed by THE include research environment, research quality, international outlook, and more while providing rankings to universities.
