The average unweighted GPA on a 4.0 scale is 3.8 for University of Miami. As per the claim by an unofficial source, University of Miami admissions is very selective with an acceptance rate of 28%. The admission rate of the university is only 19%. The middle 50% of SAT test superscore ranges between 1380 and 1500 whereas, for ACT it is between 31 and 34.

Situated in Coral Gables in Florida, the University of Miami is a university based on private research. Established in the year 1925, it is a diverse academic institution with a primary focus on teaching, learning, and research. It is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award the baccalaureate, Masters and doctoral degrees. It was placed 57th among national universities under U.S. News & World Report's "America's Best Colleges" issue of the year 2019.

Tulane University as well as the University of Miami are two well-known institutions in US and great study abroad options for students. When it comes to rankings, the University of Miami beats Tulane University with the rank #278 in QS World University Rankings 2024. The latter has claimed the rank #600 in the same category. In US News & World Report University Rankings 2024, the University of Miami again has an upper hand with rank #67 in Best National Universities. Whereas, Tulane University has is a little behind the rank #73.
