UPenn supplement essay expects a specific, well-researched reason to take admission to the university. Students can include their overall experience, which comprises particular classes, clubs, research, programs that excite them, professors, and more. If students are specific for school e.g Wharton, Engineering, they must mention how and why they fit. Also, include how Penn will align with your academic and career goals.

The UPenn acceptance rate is 6% as per the unofficial source, which demonstrates that the university is highly competitive and hard to enter. However, it is not impossible to take admission to UPenn. Students who actively take part in extracurricular activities, volunteer work, and having a history of good grades, easily crack the code to take entry. The university also gives weightage to community service and interest outside the classroom, so students must make sure they perform well in this factor rather than achieving only good marks.

According to the official source, UPenn believes in conducting a thorough review of the applications once they are received. The comprehensive review includes various aspects that are beyond academics. Although academics will remain the foremost factors, things like extracurricular activities, community service, and interests outside the classroom are highly crucial.

For the Class of 2029, the university received more than 72,500 applications, of which 3,500 students were admitted. This suggests that the University of Pennsylvania acceptance rate stands at a mere 4.9%, meaning that of every 100 students who apply to the UPenn admission process, the university is likely to admit just around 5 students and offer them the opportunity to enroll on the UPenn campus. This makes the admission criteria of the university extremely selective, as less than one-tenth of the students are likely to be admitted.

Yes, you can change your major at the University of Pennsylvania, however, the ease of changing your major depends on the school within the university, you wish to switch to.
Changing a major at the College of Arts & Sciences (CAS) is relatively straightforward, however, doing so at a different school say the Wharton School is far more competitive & requires better academic requirements from students.

Yes, it is possible to transfer to UPenn from your current university or college, however, the requirements vary based on the school, you opt to apply to.

Students can contact the UPenn Family Resource Center, to be guided with the housing process.
