Yes, the University of Wyoming accepts international students at both UG and PG levels. There are over 10,000 students at the university, as of Fall 2023. These students hail from all 50 states and 82 countries. There are around 200 study areas. 90 graduate programs and more than 80 undergraduate programs are offered by the University of Wyoming. The university is accredited through the Higher Learning Commission

As per unofficial sources, the University of Wyoming acceptance rate is around 96%. This means that the university is less selective while granting admission. To take admission to this university, the applicants who meet the general requirements and application criteria have a higher chance of admission. The general admission criteria are having a high / secondary school qualification for admission to UG courses. For admission to PG courses, the applicants are required to have a UG degree.

Some of the tips for students starting their first semester at the University of Wyoming are:

  • Students who apply for University must be humble and should interact with as many people as possible. Mainly because the more people you talk to the better knowledge you get. 

  • Attend as many gatherings and parties as much as you can. 

  • Applicants should avoid missing classes, as 70% of learning comes from students going to classes. 

  • Students can get involved with extracurricular activities, i.e joining university clubs, sports etc. This will also look good on a portfolio in the longer run

It depends on the application portal and the level of study the student applied. Generally, if the student is applying for a UG course, then they apply through a common app. The applicant receives a mail regarding their application status but to track the application, students can check the portal they applied to.

Below are the requirements for the University of Wyoming:

  • ACT and SAT scores (optional)

  • Transcripts of your high school

  • Must meet the English requirements

  • University of Wyoming  application fee- USD 40

  • A cumulative high school grade point average of 3.0 or above is suugesterd, however minimum requirement is 2.50-2.99 (on a 4.0 scale).

  • Oakland University have certain requests from prospective students:

    • A minimum of three years in social sciences

    • A minimum of four years in science

    • A minimum of four years in additional coursework.

The university expects students to have a minimum score of 105 or higher, 110 for Engineering majors for undergraduate courses and 110 or above for PG courses.
