The marking scheme of UPTET 2025 exam is as follows: - The UPTET 2025 exam consists of multiple-choice questions, where each question carries one mark. - There is no negative marking for incorrect answers, which means that candidates do not lose marks for wrong answers. - The UPTET 2025 exam has a total of 150 questions, and the maximum marks that can be scored are 150. - To qualify the UPTET 2025 exam, candidates need to score a minimum of 60% marks, which means that they need to score at least 90 marks out of 150. It is important to note that the UPTET exam is conducted in two parts: Paper 1 and Paper 2. The marking scheme for both papers is the same, with each paper consisting of 150 multiple-choice questions and carrying a maximum of 150 marks. However, the content of the two papers is different, and candidates need to appear for the paper that is relevant to their desired teaching level.

Candidates planning to teach Classes 1 to 5 need to qualify UPTET Paper 1. Candidates planning to teach Classes 6 to 8 need to qualify for UPTET Paper 2. Candidates planning to teach Classes 1 to 8 need to qualify both papers. The candidates have to apply for the papers according to their eligibility set by the board. The educational qualification criteria has been given below for the candidates:

  • Class 12 with minimum 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education
  • Class 12 with minimum 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (BElEd)
• Paper 2
  • Graduation with a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education. Graduation with minimum 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in one-year BEd.

UPTET (Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test) exam consists of two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. Each paper has 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with four options and a single correct answer. The total marks for both papers are 150, with each question carrying one mark. Language 1 (Hindi): This section is also similar to the one in Paper 1, but the questions are designed to test the candidates' proficiency in the Hindi language for students in the age group of 11-14 years. 3. Language 2 (English/Urdu/Sanskrit): This section is similar to the one in Paper 1, but the questions are designed to test the candidates' proficiency in the chosen language for students in the age group of 11-14 years. 4. Mathematics and Science: This section tests the candidates' knowledge and understanding of mathematical concepts, as well as their understanding of basic concepts in science subjects such as physics, chemistry, biology, etc. 5. Social Studies/Social Science: This section tests the candidates' knowledge of social studies and social science subjects, including history, geography, civics, and economics. Each section carries equal weightage, and candidates must score a minimum of 60% marks to qualify the UPTET exam. The exam is conducted fora duration of 2.5 hours, and there is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
