The UTET (Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test) Exam is conducted in both Hindi and English. The question paper is bilingual, except for the Language sections where the questions are asked in the relevant language chosen by the candidate.

The subjects of the UTET (Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test) exam depends on paper.
UTET Paper 1 has 5 subjects- 1. Child Development and Pedagogy 2. Language 1 (Hindi) 3. Language 2 (English/Urdu/Sanskrit) 4. Mathematics 5. Environmental Studies 
UTET Paper 2 has 5 subjects- 1. Child Development and Pedagogy 2. Language 1 (Hindi) 3. Language 2 (English/Urdu/Sanskrit) 4. Mathematics and Science 5. Social Studies/Social Science.

Teacher Eligibility Test, Uttarakhand (UTET) levels are as follows: I. Primary Level (Class I-V) II. Upper Primary Level (Class IV-VIII) Educational Qualification: 1. Minimum educational qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V (Primary Level): Degree with Minimum 50% from a U.G.C. recognised university/ SC/ ST/ OBC/ PH/ freedom fighters will be given for 5% in Degree & 02 years Diploma (DEd) from NCTE/ Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). or Degree with 02 years BTC, CT (Nursery)/ Nursery Teacher Training (NTT) (02 years) from Established by Law and UGC recognised university. or Degree with qualify in Special B.T.C. In the UTET exam, papers 1 and 2 contain 150 objective-type multiple-choice questions (MCQs) each. Paper 1 comprises 5 sections i.e. Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language II, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies. Paper 2 comprises 4 sections with a choice in the fourth one i.e. Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II, and Mathematics and Science or Social Studies. UTET Marking Scheme: 1 mark is allotted for every correct answer and there is no negative marking in the UTET exam.

The Uttarakhand Board of School Education (UBSE) releases the UTET Notification in Hindi containing the important details regarding the exam such as exam date, application process, exam pattern, syllabus, eligibility criteria, result declaration criteria, etc. UTET Notification will be released by the Uttarakhand Government in PDF format on the official website. Candidates who want to be the primary teacher of classes 1 to 8 must go through the required to go through official UTET notification PDF carefully to be well-informed about the entire exam process and important dates related to the exam events.
