Yes, if you score equal to or above the cutoff marks in UTET (Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test), you will be considered qualified for the exam. You will be eligible to apply for teaching positions in Uttarakhand. But, qualifying in the UTET exam does not guarantee a teaching job.

If you meet the UTET (Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test) cut-off marks, it indicates that you have qualified. Check what happens if you meet the UTET cut-off

  • Eligible to applying for teaching positions in Uttarakhand
  • Receive a UTET Certificate that validates your qualification
  • Meeting the UTET cut-off does not guarantee immediate employment. The recruiting authorities may have additional selection processes such as document verification, interviews, and merit-based selection to finalize the appointment of candidates.

The UTET minimum qualifying marks are similar to the cutoff marks. Officially, there is no UTET cut-off.  The UTET cut-off is often referred to as the minimum qualifying marks. Candidates from General category need to secure at least 90 marks (60 per cent) to qualify for the UTET passing marks. On the other hand, reserved category candidates from the Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST)/ Other Backward Classes (OBC)/ Ex-Servicemen (Ex-S)/ Persons with Disability (PwD) category need to have a minimum of 82 marks (55 per cent).
