Uttarakhand Ayurved University

To secure direct admission to Uttarakhand Ayurved University, candidates who have qualified for national level fellowships such as UGC/CSIR-JRF, ICMR-JRF, or DBT-JRF are exempt from the university's Research Entrance Test (RET). These candidates can apply directly for admission. The selection process includes an interview to discuss research interests.

To pursue a Ph.D. in Ayurveda at Uttarakhand Ayurved University, candidates must hold a Master's degree in Ayurveda, Unani, Homeopathy, Yoga, Siddha, Bio-Sciences, or Sanskrit with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PH/VH candidates). Admission is primarily through a Research Entrance Test (RET), but candidates who have qualified UGC/CSIR-JRF or equivalent national tests like ICMR JRF or DBT JRF are exempted from the RET and may be considered for direct admission. The selection process includes an interview to discuss research interests.

Uttarakhand Ayurved University has not yet announced the admission deadline for 2025-26. Based on past trends, application usually opens in April, with deadlines in May. The 2024 application forms were available from the second week of April to the second week of May. Counseling for the 2024 session began on September 16, 2024.

Uttarakhand Ayurved University does not refund fees once paid. The counseling registration fees is non-refundable under any circumstances. Similarly, Application fees is non-refundable. Therefore, applicants should carefully consider their decision before making any payment.

Specific Placement Statistics of P.G Diploma in Panchkarma from Uttarakhand Ayurved University (UAU) has not been published. However,  in the past,  the UAU has promoted placement for graduates in well-known Ayurvedic organizations such as Patanjali, Dabur and the Himalayas. Alumni of similar programs register salary packages from 2.5 lakh to 8 lakh per year.

At Uttarakhand Ayurved University, Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) graduates has average salary packages ranging from 3.5 LPA to 6 Lacs per annum. Top recruiters include organizations like Patanjali, Dabur and Himalaya. Approximately 80% of students secure placement post graduation, with roles such as Ayurvedic Practitioners, hospital founders, or academic positions.

Uttarakhand Ayurved University offers a Diploma in Yoga and Naturopathy with a total intake of 35 seats across its campuses:

1. Rishikul Campus, Haridwar: 5 seats
2. Gurukul Campus, Haridwar: 5 seats
3. Main Campus, Dehradun: 5 seats
4. Kotdwar Campus: 20 seats 

This distribution ensures that students from various regions have access to the program.Therefore the competition is very high for {BAMS} also.

The tuition fees for the Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) programme at Uttarakhand Ayurved University are approximately INR 1,10,000/- to 1,40,000/- per year.  This annual fee is relatively moderate compared to other medical courses. For instance, the  Bachelor of Ayurvedic  Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) programme at the same university has an annual fee of around INR 65,000. 

But as compared to any private colleges it much cheaper, so don't think for anything if you are getting this college then kindly take admission.

Uttarakhand Ayurved University (UAU) offers Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programme in Ayurveda with specializations such as Shalya Tantra, Panchakarma, Rasa Shastra, Dravyaguna, and more.

• Education Qualifications: Masters in Ayurveda, Unani, Homeopathy, Yoga, Siddha, Bioscience or Sanskrit with atleast 55% mark (50% for SC/ST/PH/VH candidates).
• Teachers Applicant: Must have served for atleast one year in accordance with university or state government regulations.

The Uttarakhand Ayurved University (UAU) is generally considered a Tier 2 university. Although it offers sepcial programme in Ayurveda, homeopathy and related fields, there is no broad recognition or ranking of Tier 1 universities. However, it is well regarded in Ayurveda and alternative medicine circles, attracting students for their specialised programs.
