The Vidya pratisthan institute of Information Technology is a reputed institute in Maharashtra. It is a private college of engineering. It has been accredited by NAAC as "A" grade. Students who have graduated from Vidya Patrashthan’s Institute of Information Technology (VIIT) have got placed in IT industry, in the fields of trading, consulting, finance and with several international organizations including multinational companies. They occupy position or jobs like software developer, data analyst, project manager and consultant. Admission to Vidya Pratishthan's Institute of Information Technology popularly known as VIIT, changes every year depending on some factors including; the following; the number of students who sit for the test, the number of places available for admission, and the difficulty level of the test. The MAH MCA CET 2024 Round 2 cutoff was 77.53 for the General All India category for the MCA programme and, therefore, the MAH MBA CET 2024 cutoff of 45.57 percentile for General All India category for MBA program. VIIT uses both merit and entrance scores as the basis for admission. For MBA program, the admission criteria are a Bachelor's Degree with min 50% mark and a valid test score of CAT/ MAT/ ATMA etc. For the MCA program, a bachelor's degree in any discipline from any recognized University securing at least 50 % marks and a valid MAH MCA CET score are essential. Although management considers only the academic results of the candidate for admission, the candidates who are seeking information on any kind of direct admission or management quota can directly contact the admissions department of VIIT.

Vidya Pratishthan's Institute of Information Technology (VIIT) offers various courses with the following fee structures:

Master of Business Administration (MBA): The programme fee of the 2-year programme sums up to nearly one Lacs fifty-five thousand rupees.

Master of Computer Applications (MCA): Till the end of the third year of graduation the total fee would be of the order Rs. 1,50,000/-only.

Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA): In 2024 also there is added fee of Rs. 2 lakh

It is also important, to note that such fees may be altered as a result of new regulations or institutions' decisions.

The MAT (or Management Aptitude test) is generally conducted in 4 sessions-February, May, September and December.

The result date for the 2024 February session was the first week of March, for May it was the end week of May, similarly for the December examination, it would be around the last week of December -the first week of January. The dates may vary a little to the specific period mentioned. The institute conducts counseling sessions after the result is declared.
