Yes, you can apply for the course. NIOS is a recognised body of education and you are entitled to regular graduation as any other student.

You can pursue B.A. In visual communication or a Diploma in visual communication but, you cannot pursue B.Sc. Programme. Most colleges have B.Sc. In Visual communication, which can be opted by Science students only.

The entrance test has basic questions relating to the film industry and other media etc. They can also present you with scenarios and ask you to sketch it out. You just have to have a basic idea about the film industry. For example, what editing software they use, etc.
Then there are three interviews that you'll have to attend, one with the department staff, the Father principal and one with someone from the Media Industry. You should have your portfolio prepared containing all the works that you have done so far. They'll ask only general questions so need to worry.

Placements are too good here. Last year the university gave an average package of 3 lakhs. Companies like Amazon, TCS etc are having their campus here. Around 80% students got placed.
Hostels are too disciplined and maintenance is nice.

B.Sc is considered equivalent to graduation. Afterwards, you can directly get admission to a Master's degree. On the other hand, a Diploma is not considered as graduation and lacks credibility too. Also, with a B.Sc Degree, you have an edge to get into teaching industry.
