The only way to get into VIT is by writing the entrance test VITEEE. VIT now has 4 campuses. So, you should get CSE in them! We have a category system. Based on the rank u are called for counseling and you pick your seat! The first category fee is around 12 Lacs for 4 years including hostel and tuition. If category one closes, then you can take a seat in category one of another campus or category 2 based on your campus preference. Fee increases by around 1 Lacs per year in each category!

You need not really prepare for VITEEE. If you are asking this question, I hope you might have also been preparing for JEE Mains and JEE Advance. You can really do well in VITEEE. If you only prepare well for JEE Mains. That is enough. The questions asked in VITEEE are very basics and cover up the syllabus of intermediate. You can attempt every question if you read 11th and 12th class NCERT books. For practice part, you can go for previous year questions of both JEE Mains and VITEEE. They are easily available in bookstores or you can even get it online. These will brush up your concepts and will also give enough confidence.

It is not that bad. If you have money and interest in the field you can take it. You will definitely gain knowledge and exposure to the culture and the latest technology. If you are just looking for the degree it is not advisable to take the course in VIT. According to the placement wise VIT is not good for B.Sc animation and multimedia courses

There is no donation fee here.
Let me explain you the system. The system is very simple, for a particular branch there are few seats (Eg. 250 seats) in first category. First category could be understood as the seats given to the merit holders of VITEEE. The fees here is minimum and actually very cheap. Generally, VITEEE rank holders up to 20K can only contest for these seats. Then there is category 2 which again comprises of 230 seats and in this category, the fee is little high (you may say it includes donations in the fee). So, your fee for category two will be more for every branch and generally students over 20K rank contest test fo
