Wrexham University ranking in UK is #130 in 2025 in the Complete University Guide Rankings. This university ranked in the same position in the previous year too. Parameters used to calculate these rankings are entry standards, student-staff ratios, facilities spending, spending on academic services, graduate prospects, etc. Some of the courses of this university that have been ranked well are Sociology, Nursing, Art and Design, and Computer Science.

Considering the acceptance rates of both the universities, it can be said Wrexham University UK is more selective. It has an acceptance rate between 47% - 53% and the University of Bolton acceptance rate is around 70%. However, in terms of rankings in the Complete University Guide, Bolton University ranks better at #111 in 2025. Wrexham University's rank is #130 in 2025 in Complete University Guide Rankings in 2025.

Wrexham University have a friendly and supportive community. As per the facts of 2022-23, the total number of students at this university 9,000+. While studying at this university, students can enjoy on-campus Students' Union bar and Glyn's. Also, at the main campus of this university, there is everything a student needs ranging from library to study areas to a gym, and a well-known coffee shop. Also, the university is considered affordable when it comes to accommodation.

For admission to the Wrexham University MBA course, the applicants are required to have a first honors degree (2:2) or above. Plus, the applicants are required to have two years' of postgraduate work experience. The applicants can apply via UCAS if they want to take admission to UG courses. International applicants at Wrexham University can submit the application via Centurus (university portal). For MPhil or PhD courses, students check the university's rules and then apply. A few of the documents required to apply to this university are:

For admission to UG courses, Indian students should complete Class 12. On the other hand, for admission to PG courses, the students must have a UG degree. Also, an English language score is important. The WGU qualifications required are given below:

UG

  • Class 12 completion with at least 65% from all state boards (including minimum 65% in Maths)
  • A Diploma from the State Board of Technical Education with minimum 60% is also accepted
  • International Baccalaureate Diploma with 28 points or more can also be accepted

PG
