Hello Tejas,
Getting admission in in directly second year of engineering wire lateral admission process is quite simple. you need to register yourself on the portal of the directorate of technical education of the state of Maharashtra. they will form a merit list based on the marks obtained by the students in their diploma examination and then based on this merit list the seats will be allotted to them in due course of time. however a student can perhaps seek admission directly in the deemed to be universities or private engineering colleges under their management quota seats.
Best wishes to you.

Well, both of them compete when it comes to infrastructure. Also, the placements are comparable. Both the institutes are equally good and one must choose owing to his preferred region.
