In the internals, the total marks consists of different things which have different weightage. Like the marks of Mid Terms, marks of Practical exams, Assignments, Practical Record, Presentations, Viva Voce etc. A student has to score minimum 40 marks to pass the internals (combined of internals and externals, the minimum score should be 100 out of 200 to pass). If the student fails to do so, he would get failed in that subject and has to reappear for that subject next year. If the student gets a score of 35-40, then he would get grace marks of maximum 5 marks ( only in 1 subject ) so that his marks in internal reaches 40. If the score is less than 35, then he would be considered failed in that subject and has to re-appear for that.

Admissions in CCSHAU takes place through two ways. One is the Entrance Test for the students who are natives of Haryana. And the other if through the ICAR UG entrance test. The admissions are not open now. But the application form for CCSHAU's Entrance Exam is out now ( as on 8 June ) and the Counselling will start around  August after declaration of results. CGPA or Cumulative Grade Point Average is the final grade given to the student for a semester. Each subject has its own Credit hours ( ex. Fundamentals of Agronomy- AGRON 101 has credit hours 3+1. This means in a week there will be three theory classes and one practical class of that particular class. ). Suppose a condition in which there are three subjects ( in actual these subjects are not in same semester)- AGRON 101, SOILS 101 and STAT 102 and the credit hours for these subjects is 3+1, 2+1 and 1+1 respectively. Assume a student scores 80+70 marks in AGRON 101 ( External + Internal), 75+80 in SOILS 101 and 60+ 70 in STATS 102. Now for AGRON 101, the total marks would be calculated as - (80 x 3) + (70 x 1) = 310 For SOILS 101, the total marks would be - (75 x 2) + (80 x 1) = 230 For STATS 102, the total marks would be - (60 x 1) + (70 x 1) = 130 Now, the total marks of individual subjects will be summed up and it will be divided by the total credit hours (sum of credit hours of all the subjects) as, (310 + 230 + 130 )/ (3+1+2+1+1+1) I. e. 670/9 = 74.4 Now this will be divided by 10. The final answer be your CGPA I. e. 7.44. (Please ignore the calculation mistake if present). .

Hostel is one of the things kept in mind while selecting a university. And the hostel facilities are pretty good in CCSHAU. One gets a room on triple sharing basis, sometimes double sharing if room is small, and sometimes quad sharing if because of any reason the rooms are less ( very less chances ). The rooms are good and airy. Each person is provided a separate almirah. Desks and Chairs are also provided for studying. B.Ed Cots are also provided but you have to get your own mattresses. Each room has a balcony. Washrooms are also clean. Geysers are available in winter seasons. Water Coolers are also provided. In summers you can get your cooler to get rid of the scorching heat. The food in the mess is also good. Canteen is also there for each hostel. Cleanliness is also maintained in the hostel.

Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University is one of the famous and best agricultural university in India. Also it is the biggest agricultural university in Asia. It has best faculty for teaching purpose, research purpose and as well as for extension purpose. It has very well maintained labs and fields for research purposes. Also the farmers can easily get solutions to their respective problems in the University. The Campus is also very beautiful and very big. The level of education is also very good here. The University also has a dedicated Sports Center so called 'Giri Center'. These are some of the features which makes the University unique.

Yes, scholarships are available in CCSHAU. Category based scholarship is also available and On basis of your score every semester, you get scholarships. The first scholarship you get is basis on the Marks of Entrance Test. First 25% students get Scholarship of Rs. 800-1000 per month for 4 to 5 months. The next scholarship will be on the basis of your score in 1st sem. If you have scored above 7.5 CGPA and you are among first 25% students, then you are eligible for the scholarship. Similarly for the next semesters.
