Admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the Department of Media Studies at Christ University is based on both merit and entrance exams. For undergraduate programs like BA Media and Journalism, admission process consists of:1) Filling the online application form available on the university website. Application fee is Rs.1500.2) Christ University Entrance Test (CUET) - This is a compulsory test conducted by the university for admission to BA programs.3) Students who clear the entrance test are called for the selection process which includes:Micro Presentation : Students are given a topic and asked to speak for 1 minute on it. This tests their communication and presentation skills.Personal Interview: A panel of professors will interview the candidate to evaluate their aptitude and interest in the field of media studies.Final selection is based on the merit secured in the entrance test, performance in the micro presentation and personal interview. For postgraduate programs like MA Media and Communication Studies, admission is based on:1) Filling the online application form and paying the application fee.2) Students with a bachelor's degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks are eligible to apply.3) Shortlisted candidates are called for the selection process which includes:Micro PresentationPersonal InterviewMerit list is prepared based on the performance in the micro presentation and personal interview. There is no separate entrance exam for MA programs. So in summary, for undergraduate programs in Media Studies, Christ University considers both merit and entrance exam while for postgraduate programs, admission is based purely on merit i.e. performance in micro presentation and personal interview.Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other doubts.
