3. For B.Tech. Second Year (Lateral Entry), candidates must have passed 3/4 year Diploma (with minimum 60% marks) from an institution recognized by the U.P. Board of Technical Education in any branch of Engineering/Technology except Agriculture Engineering.

The candidate should have passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject.
The candidate should have a minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST candidates) in the above subjects.
The admission to B.Tech. first year will be through DDUGU entrance-exam 2024-25 or JEE Main 2024 conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA).
The candidate can register for the DDUGU Entrance Examination through the DDUGU Admission Portal or register directly on the DDUGU Admission Portal to participate in the counseling process based on JEE score.
The counseling will be conducted by IET at the DDUGU campus.
The candidate can also participate in the Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling (UPTAC) for admission to IET.
The admission to B.Tech. second year (Lateral Entry) will be based on the candidate's Diploma or B.Sc. degree.
The candidate should have a minimum of 60% marks in Diploma or B.Sc. degree.
The admission to B.Tech. second year (Lateral Entry) will be through counseling conducted by IET at the DDUGU campus.

The admission process involves online counseling, and candidates must produce the required certificates, including a caste certificate, at the time of admission.

The DDUGU offers admission to the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) course based on the Undergraduate Entrance Test. The test consists of 100 objective multiple-choice questions of the Intermediate examination level, with each question carrying 02 marks and the total marks being 200. No marks are deducted for a wrong answer in the Test. The test is of two hours duration, and the questions are in both English and Hindi language, except for the questions on languages. The DDUGU offers admission to the Bachelor of Law (LL.B.) course on the basis of the candidate's achievement of minimum marks in the LL.B.
