To get a seat in JNU for M.Tech in Data Science, candidates must have a Master's degree in Computer Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Operational Research/any branch of Science /Master of Computer Applications (MCA)/Bachelor's degree in any branch of Engineering/ Technology with at least 55% marks. Admission is offered through a common paper for admission to both M.Tech. Programme in "Computer Science and Technology" and M.Tech. Programme in "Data Science". An applicant should clearly mention the order of preference amongst the two M.Tech. programmes in the application form. The eligibility and syllabus for the entrance examination for both M.Tech. Programme in "Computer Science and Technology" and M.Tech. Programme in "Data Science" would be the same.

Yes, the Integrated B.Sc.+M.Sc.in Ayurveda Biology (AYBU) eligibility criteria differ for the reserved category candidates at JNU. According to the JNU e-Prospectus 2025-26, the eligibility criteria for B.Sc. programme in Ayurveda Biology is at least Senior School Certificate (10+2) or an examination recognised as equivalent thereto with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate. However, for reserved category candidates, the minimum percentage of marks may be relaxed as per the University rules.
