While the total tution fees for APS College of Engineering ranges from 6.3Lakh - 17Lakh INR which is more than twice that of School of Engineering and Technology. The placement difference in both the college is similar as both the colleges are affiliated to the same universities.

Both the colleges you have mentioned are chosen by many students and they have quite moderate reputation. The straight forward answer is that School of Engineering and Technology is a better college than that of the APS Bangalore. School of Engineering and Technology have a better laboratory, library, classes and infrastructure available which is one of the important thing one need. Apart from this, there are more number of faculty members available in the School of Engineering and Technology who have better qualification compared to that APS Bangalore and also the faculty members have quite a good diversity.Both the colleges mentioned are affiliated by Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, so the curriculum followed by this colleges are the same. Now from the placement perspective also the package offered in School of Engineering and Technology is better than that of APS and the placement rate is around 82% in average.

The highest placement package in School of Engineering and Technology Bangalore campus is 12LPA INR.The lowest package recorded was 4LPA INR.The average placement package recorded was 6LPA INR.The affordablity of this college and the high placement rate of this college makes it a high ROI (return on investment).But the point is that it's a bit tricky to get admission in these colleges as they are state funded GFTI'S.
