The programme for which you are applying determines whether you will be admitted directly to Lalit Narayan Mithila University. Most undergraduate courses are admitted based on merit, as defined by the marks obtained in the qualifying exam (such as 12th grade). Certain professional or postgraduate programs, such as MBA, B.Ed., or Ph.D., may need entrance tests. LNMU also accepts results from national-level entrance exams for certain courses. Students are normally expected to apply online through the university's official website, which provides information on the selection criteria, eligibility requirements, and application processes. Direct admission without matching the stipulated criteria is often not permitted, as the university maintains a systematic admissions process to preserve academic standards.
