National Institute of Technology Jalandhar Answered Questions

NIT Jalandhar does not accept direct admissions. The college accepts JEE Main, GATE and IIT JAM scores from interested candidates. M.Tech Admission can also be availed by appearing for departmental exams conducted by the college. Aspirants should ensure they fulfill the minimum eligibility crioteria before applying for the preferred course.

For admission to its BTech programme, Dr BR Ambedkar National Institute of Technology Jalandhar accepts the JEE Main scores, followed by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling. Candidates can appear in JEE Main six times only in three consecutive years. JEE Main application can be made only after passing the class 12/ qualifying examination.

NIT Jalandhar sports facilities include 2 lawn tennis grounds with ample seating arrangements, three volleyball courts with flood lights and 2 basketball courts with seating arrangements and full flood lights. It also included a standard football and cricket grounds with a 400m athletics track and field. The NIT Jalandhar infrastructure also boasts a New students' activity centre equipped with 4 badminton courts and 4  table tennis tables. The new students' activity centre also contains specific rooms for yoga, chess, carrom, etc., for both boys and girls.

The central library of NIT Jalandhar remains open from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm on all working days and from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm on Saturday, Sunday and Holidays. NIT Jalandhar also houses a general reading room, adjacent to the library, with Wi-Fi facility and is open from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm on all days. 

The tuition fee for the MBA course at NIT Jalandhar is INR 1.4 lakh, which is payable in installments throughout the two-year period. Besides, students also need to account for accommodation (INR 1.1 lakh) and other compulsory fees (INR 78,000).

The Working Internships in Science and Engineering are open for B.Tech students in their 5th or 6th semester and dual degree/integrated programme students in their 5th to 8th semester. Under this internship, eligible students can participate in a 2-3-month internship at various German universities. Students also receive many awards for their excellent academic performance from the institute.
