Established in the year 1987, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology provides education at the undergraduate, doctoral and postgraduate level in the fields of Science, technology and engineering. Presently, as per the central government, this institute is named as Institute of National Importance. NITJ has over 12 different academic departments, which includes the Department of Biotechnology, Department of Physics and Department of Civil Engineering.
