It is very difficult to get NIT-trichy. You can try applying for colleges in rourkela, durgapur etc with easier cutoffs.

They provide good facilities. Hostels have common rooms with A/C. There are mess for andhra, kerala and TN. North and other south mess are available

Yes, you will get a seat. Apply for NITT ECE too for back up. You will need a OC rank of 1500, but OBC rank varies widely.
