Hi there,
It's not necessary that every law graduate from an NLU will get a job for sure. You need to maintain a good CV and marks for campus placements. Alternatively, you may get self employed by practicing at a court of law.

You will not get an NLU even in the third merit list if you belong to open category.

Yes, you will get tier 3 NLUs, like NLU-RANCHI, NLU-Assam, NLU-Trichy, MNLU-NAGPUR, MNLU -AURANGABAD in third allotment list or in vacancy seats.

This is not possible, because top 1000 rank is only taken in the NLUs. Your friend needs to find some other back up options ASAP. Best of luck.

NLU-D would be a better choice. It has location advantage, faculty and placement is far more better than Jodhpur. I highly recommend you to join Delhi, however, there are few people in my college who had opted for Jodhpur above Delhi.

You have no chance in any NLU in 3 allotment lists, however you have faint chances in vacancy seats in lower NLUs, please look at the websites of lower NLUs like NLU-Ranchi, NLU-Trichy and NLU-Nagpur after 6th July and if you find seats vacant

If you are from all India open category, it is highly unlikely that you will get an NLU, because it ends at Air 2400.
