The sequence of steps to be followed by each examinee for appearing in the Examination using the Online Examination Portal will be as follows:The students will have to enter their application number as Username and DOB (Date of birth as mentioned in the application form) as Password and click on the “Sign in” button. The student’s details will appear on the screen as submitted in Form-A, which must be verified by the student and acknowledge the same by clicking on the “I Confirm” button. Go through the general instructions and then click on “NEXT” and move to subject-specific instructions. Once the candidate has gone through the instructions page, the candidate needs to select the language as “English” and click on the check box on the left side of the declaration.The “I am ready to begin” button will be enabled as per the examination scheduled time and the candidate has to click on the “I am ready to begin” button to start the examination. The student has to proceed to answer the questions one by one by clicking on the small grey circle next to the chosen answer.The examinee can move to First, Last, Previous, Next and unanswered questions by clicking on the buttons with respective labels displayed on the screen throughout the test.The answers can be changed at any time during the test and are saved automatically. It is possible to Review the answered questions as well as the unanswered questions.The time remaining is shown in the Right Top Corner of the screen. The assessment will get “auto submit” when the time limit is over, OR if the examinee finishes the exam on time, he can quit by pressing the ‘Submit’ button.The candidates must not click the “Submit” Button until the candidate wants to quit from Examination. However, no candidate can leave the examination hall before completion of the examination.

The maximum permissible period for completion of the course is seven consecutive academic years for direct students and eight consecutive years for in-service students. An academic year consists of two semesters each having a minimum duration of 110 working days consisting of 95 Net Instructional Days (NID) and 15 examination days.

The Kashmiri Migrants/ Kashmiri Pandit (Non-Migrants) / Kashmiri Hindu Families (Non-Migrants) living in the Kashmir Valley are not required to appear in the OUAT PG Entrance Examination. Interested candidates must apply online; otherwise, admission is not allowed. The selection of these candidates will be made from a separate merit list prepared based on the highest OGPA/percentage of marks in Under Graduate programme. Without the OGPA/marks of qualifying examinations, the application will be invalid. In case of a tie, it will be resolved considering the percentage of marks in the qualifying examination, followed by Class 12 science and 10th standard in that order.
