Chandigarh University is in the list of top universities in terms of placements, faculty, and infrastructure. Chandigarh University has an excellent placement record. Chandigarh University has earned the title of University with Best Placements in India. The university is having tie ups with many reputed companies where students can do their internship and also get placement in these companies. During the period 2018-2019, around 627 multinational companies visited the campus and 6314 placement offer letters were recorded. In the engineering department of CU, the highest package was offered Rs. 31.77 LPA.
Many renowned companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Walt Disney, IBM, Flipkart, SAP Labs visit the campus every year. Wipro, IBM, Mindtree and Capgemini have recruited 394,196,101 and 207 students of computer science engineering respectively.
Many students from the department of mechanical engineering were placed in companies like Tata Technologies, Reliance Industries, Godrej, Jindal steel, Tata Power, Sanmar Group. 115 companies visited the campus to recruit the students of mechanical, automobile and aerospace engineering.
Various top universities do not have good placement records for civil engineering but Chandigarh University is not behind to any department in terms of placement. Companies like L&T Constructions, Shapoorji Pallonji, Soma Construction, ATS Infrastructure gave the offer letters with good salary packages i.e 15LPA to the students. While 15 civil engineering students got placed in Leighton which is an international company.
Electronics and communication engineering is another branch of engineering of Chandigarh university whose 628 students were selected by more than 37 companies and the maximum package was given Rs.10 LPA. Telecom and mobile manufacturing companies i.e. Bharti Airtel, Verizon, Reliance Communication, Lava had selected most of the students in these sectors whereas Panasonic, Samsung companies manufacturing electronic and home appliances have also recruited many students.

1. Location: Chandigarh University is not located in Chandigarh as it name suggests and it is very common to be confused between PU and CU. CU is located in greater Mohali area towards Chandigarh- Ludhiana highway. It is about 45 mins away from main Chandigarh. One can easily get a bus or a cab from kharar which is the nearest bus stand 15 mins away from Uni in an auto. Nearest market is Kharar market where you can get almost all the basic necessities.
2. Infrastructure: Infrastructure is great of Chandigarh University. Campus is made in 200 acres. It has around 18 academic blocks including south campus. Food courts and small shops for refreshment is available around every academic block with a stationary shop . Basketball court and sports complex is situated for sports enthusiasts.
3. Faculty & course curriculum: Most of the faculty for engineering and sciences are PHD holders with industrial experience. Faculties are very helping and guide students well. Talking about course curriculum, it is followed by UGC guidelines and is same as in other institutions. They do provide Mandatory non graded subjects for overall development of a student. Along this there are a huge variety of open electives to choose from. Also depending upon the duration of course they segregate into students who want placements and those who do not want basically who go for higher education. for higher education exams they provide guidance and extra classes in evening.

The last decision is always yours, if you want to work in India then go for Shoolini as its ranked 66th in India among the 236 universities. Also, ranked 4th in private universities of biotech in India. But the scope of growth will be limited from this college and if you are getting an opportunity to pursue Diploma from Canada from a highly ranked university do go for that. It will be a onetime investment and lifelong benefit. More so, it will open greater opportunities for you there.
