The minimum cutoff for MBA at Symbiosis Centre for Management & Human Resource Development (SCMHRD) varies from year to year and is subject to change. It is determined based on various factors such as the number of applicants, their profiles, and the overall performance in the entrance exams.Admission Process at SCMHRD: SCMHRD follows a rigorous selection process for its MBA program. The admission process consists of the following stages:Entrance Exam: Candidates need to appear for a national-level management entrance exam such as CAT (Common Admission Test), SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test), or GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test). The score obtained in any of these exams is considered for shortlisting.Shortlisting: Based on the entrance exam scores, candidates are shortlisted for the next stage of the selection process. The cutoff scores for shortlisting are determined by SCMHRD and may vary each year.Group Exercise (GE): Shortlisted candidates are invited to participate in a Group Exercise, which assesses their communication skills, teamwork abilities, and problem-solving skills. The GE is typically conducted in a group discussion format.Personal Interview (PI): Candidates who clear the Group Exercise round proceed to the Personal Interview stage. The PI evaluates the candidate’s knowledge, aptitude, personality traits, and suitability for the program.Written Ability Test (WAT): Some institutes, including SCMHRD, also conduct a Written Ability Test as part of their selection process. This test assesses a candidate’s writing skills and analytical thinking ability.Final Selection: The final selection is based on a composite score that takes into account the candidate’s performance in the entrance exam, GE, PI, and WAT. The weightage assigned to each component may vary each year.Minimum Cutoff for MBA at SCMHRD: As the cutoff varies from year to year, it is advisable to refer to the official website or admission brochure of SCMHRD for the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding the minimum cutoff score. The cutoff is usually announced after the declaration of entrance exam results and may differ for different categories (such as General, SC/ST, OBC, etc.).It is important to note that meeting the minimum cutoff does not guarantee admission to SCMHRD. The cutoff serves as a benchmark for shortlisting candidates for further stages of the selection process. The final admission decision is based on various factors, including the candidate’s overall profile, academic background, work experience (if any), performance in GE-PI-WAT rounds, and availability of seats.

The Symbiosis Centre for Management & Human Resource Development (SCMHRD), a prestigious institute in Pune, India, offers a two-year full-time MBA program. The institute is renowned for its excellent faculty, industry-relevant curriculum, and excellent placement opportunities. SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test) is the entrance exam conducted by the Symbiosis International University for admission into various management institutes, including SCMHRD. In this essay, we will discuss the chances of getting into SCMHRD with a 70% score in SNAP, and the factors that influence admission decisions.Admission Criteria and CutoffsThe admission process for SCMHRD involves several stages, including the SNAP exam, Group Discussion (GD), Personal Interview (PI), and Written Ability Test (WAT). The cutoffs for each stage vary each year based on the performance of the candidates and the number of available seats. For the 2020-2022 academic year, the cutoffs for SCMHRD were as follows:SNAP Score: The minimum SNAP score required for SCMHRD was 50%ile for General and 45%ile for Reserved Category candidates.Group Discussion (GD) & Personal Interview (PI): Candidates who qualify the SNAP exam are called for GD and PI rounds. The final selection is based on the candidate’s performance in these rounds. While a 70% score in SNAP is considered good, it may not guarantee admission to SCMHRD, as the competition is high, and the institute has limited seats.Factors Influencing Admission DecisionsApart from the SNAP score, several other factors contribute to the admission decision:Academic Performance: The institute considers the candidate’s academic record, including 10th, 12th, and graduation marks. A consistently good academic record is essential for securing a seat in SCMHRD.Work Experience: Candidates with relevant work experience may have an edge over those without any work experience.Extra-curricular Activities: SCMHRD appreciates candidates who have a well-rounded profile, including participation in sports, cultural activities, and social initiatives.GD & PI Performance: Candidates who perform well in GD and PI rounds have higher chances of securing a seat in the institute.Diversity: SCMHRD aims to create a diverse learning environment, and the admission committee may consider a candidate’s geographical and gender diversity.ConclusionA 70% score in SNAP may not guarantee admission to SCMHRD, but it can increase your chances if you have a strong academic record, relevant work experience, and perform well in GD and PI rounds. Moreover, a good SNAP score can help you secure a call for the subsequent selection rounds. It is essential to focus on all aspects of the admission process to maximize your chances of getting into SCMHRD.

The SNAP exam is designed to assess a candidate's quantitative ability, data interpretation, verbal ability, and logical reasoning skills. Achieving a score of more than 93 in SNAP reflects a high level of proficiency in these areas, showcasing a candidate's readiness for the rigors of a postgraduate business programme at SIIB. SIIB is known for its rigorous academic standards, industry-oriented curriculum, and emphasis on international business. Prospective students aspiring to join SIIB should focus on comprehensive preparation for the SNAP exam, including mock tests, thorough understanding of exam patterns, and brushing up on essential skills. A strong SNAP score not only opens doors to SIIB but also positions students favorably for the dynamic and globally-oriented curriculum that the institute is known for. Hello, I could not find any good reviews of both these courses on the web. But as per my research on the internet, both these colleges seem equally good. But some people say that, if you want a good University degree, you should go for IISM (Mumbai University) but if the choice is to go for a more well maintained and well built campus, opt for the private one i.e. Symbiosos. Placement wise, the details on the web mention that both are equally good.

Because a college can not be the best for each and every course. For example, Sachin Tendulkar can be good at many thngs but he is the best at playing cricket.
