Yes, it is mandatory for all candidates to attend the document verification round as part of the SETcounselling process. During the document verification process, candidates must present their original documents for verification and provide their biometric details. The purpose of document verification is to ensure that the candidate is eligible for admission to the selected course and to avoid fraudulent activities. Candidates who do not attend the document verification round will be marked ineligible from the admission process through SET scores. Such candidates will not be considered for the seat allotment round also. Therefore, it is important for applicants to attend the document verification process physically as per the schedule announced by the authorities. It is also crucial to carry all the required documents in original along with photocopies to the document verification round. Those who fail to produce the required documents will not be allowed to participate in the further counselling process which includes PI and WAT rounds.

Candidates who have cleared the SET exam and have met the SET cutoff of their preferred institute will be called for the SET counseling procedure which includes PI and WAT. Candidates have to register on the official website of the SET participating institute and when they clear the PI round they will be called to the campus for document verification. The SET counselling is conducted in online as well as offline mode. Candidates who have qualified the SET exam must register themselves online through the official website for the SET counselling procedure. However, the Personal Interview, Written Ability Test and document verification round under the counselling process is held offline at the designated centres. Candidates who have met the SET cutoff, need to visit the centre for document verification as per their rank and other selection rounds such as PI and WAT. The seat allotment process is also conducted online based on the merit, category, and choices filled by the candidate during the registration process. The entire SET counselling process except the PI, WAT and document verification round is conducted in online mode.
