The Bachelor of Accounting and Finance is a specialist three year full-time or part-time equivalent degree offering a comprehensive course in the theory and applications of accounting and finance.
The course involves units in accounting that allow graduates to be simultaneously recognized as accounting and finance professionals.
Unlike pure accounting degrees, the Bachelor of Accounting and Finance offers a broader understanding of financial instruments, institutions, markets and systems. It involves the study of financial decision-making under uncertainty, which is applicable to banking, financial consulting and planning, funds management, merchant banking, stockbroking and treasury.
Because of the comprehensive nature of the course, graduates will be particularly well qualified in highly sought after specialised areas such as auditing, budget analysis, portfolio management, investment analysis, mergers and acquisitions, risk analysis and taxation strategy.
Some good colleges are:
Indian Institute for Finance and Management
Indian School of Business & Finance
Ganga Kaveri Group of Institutions
Shankar Narayan College of Arts and Commerce
St. Xavier's College, Jaipur
Amity University
Christ College
