Yes, Tamil Nadu Open University offers both B.Ed and B.Ed Spl.Ed. courses in distance mode of education through Department of Education/Special Education and affiliated colleges. The course duration for both programmes is two years. Candiadtes must have passed bachelor's or master's degree in relevant subjects with at least 50% aggregate to be eligible for admission. Further, Candidates with bachelor's in Engineering or Technology with specialisation in Science and Mathematics with a minimum of 55% aggregate can also apply. Aspirants who have completed an NCTE-recognised teacher education programme via face-to-face mode are eligible to seek admission for B.Ed course at TNOU. Candidates belonging to reserved categories are given relaxation in the aggregate.
