IIT needs JEE Advanced & IIIT needs JEE Mains scores. Both have different prospects so are the ranks required. For JEE Advanced, you need less than 7-8K CRL, but for IIIT, your chance is nearly nil at 25K.

It depends on the program you want to join. All except MBA and Engineering ones you need to appear for university's entrance. For these 2 national scores are also accepted except in B.Tech where only JEE main. Moreover there is Northeast quota
