The college is strict when it comes to the eligibility requirements of Bachelor of Ayurved Medicine and Surgery (B.A.M.S.) at Yenepoya Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital. The candidate should have passed the qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English, and have completed the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the BAMS course. The selection of students is based solely on merit, and the candidate should have passed the earlier qualifying examination with the required subjects. The college also has strict rules regarding migration, and it is only permitted at the beginning of the II year BAMS course in recognised institutions, with prior approval from the Central Council of Indian Medicine.
