You need to understand that pilot training is governed and regulated by DGCA and it is irrespective of the flying school you choose to train with. For becoming a commercial pilot, there is a specific eligibility criterion which you should first be aware of. This is decided on what subjects have you taken in class 12th. It requires PCM with 50 Percent marks to be a pilot. And, even if you have not opted for the same, then you can appear separately for these subjects and become eligible. Further, you should be aware that you are medically fit to be a pilot, so I would suggest you visit http://www.dgca.nic.in/medical/medical-ind.htm and go to the class 2nd examiner's tab to find out doctors who will examine you for initial fitness. You can visit any doctorate from the list as per your convenience. Once you are done with class 2nd medical, find out a suitable flying club for you as per your convenience. You can fly in India or abroad. I would suggest you fly in India. Besides finding the club, be aware that you will have to appear for:
1. Air Navigation
2. Aviation Meteorology
3. Air Regulations
4. Aviation Technical
5. Aircraft Specific
6. Radio Telephony
Here, 1-5 are conducted by DGCA and 6 is conducted by WPC. Prepare for these subjects and appear, as exams are conducted every quarterly. For preparation, flying club will help you or there are private instructors available in metro cities as well. You will fly for 200Hrs + Clear DGCA and WPC exams + Clear Class 1st medical, then you shall get your CPL. The next license is ATPL, which you shall be able to apply for once. You will then have to probably fund or self-sponsor your type rating on whatever fleet you are selected in an airline. Then, you finally get a job as a pilot. I hope the process is well explained to you. CPL is an expensive affair. It might cost you around Rs.18-20 Lacs for flying + DGCA exams Rs.500/- each exam + Medicals for Rs.10,000 + endorsements and license issue fees around Rs. 25k + Type Rating around Rs. 15 Lacs. So, decide wisely before you enter the field.

Hi Mukti,
As per the regulations mutilation of any body part is acceptable till the time it does not affect any normal operation of the aircraft. It includes operations in normal and adverse weather conditions as well.
So, it actually depends on what is the extent of damage that you have done to your finger. I would suggest you to meet any class 1 medical doctor approved by DGCA and take proper advise on this. You can find the list of such doctors on DGCA webpage.
http://www.dgca.nic.in
Follow this link and then hit the "medical" tab to find the list of doctors.
Any other query you may further comment.
Good luck.

Educational qualifications required to join CPL training programs-
To become a Commercial Pilot, one must possess CPL (Commercial Pilot Licence). This Licence is issued after a candidate clears the training program from an Institute recognized by the Civil Aviation Authority of that particular country (DGCA in case of India).
But to join CPL training program, a candidate has to meet certain minimum Educational qualifications requirements. Here they are-
* The candidate must have cleared 10+2 Science stream schooling with Physics and Mathematics as the main subjects (age of candidate should not be less than 17 years when the course starts).
* The minimum marks required is 50% (may vary from Institute to Institute) aggregate marks.
Fitness (medical) standards to be met-
A Commercial Pilot has to be fit- physically and mentally. That's why, during the selection process, lots of emphasis is laid on the medical status of the candidate. Here are some medical standards set by authorities, which interested candidates have to satisfy in order to get selected into CPL training program-
* Eye sight specifics- one eye has to have perfect eyesight, without any defects (6/6). It is allowed to have certain imperfection in the eyesight of the other eye (6/9). But this imperfection should be correctable to 6/6.
* Candidate must not have any serious physical deformity. Also, he/she should not have any kind of mental disorder, or any history of having such mental illness.
Becoming commercial pilot after 12th science (process)-
In case you have passed 12th Science, you may join a CPL training program if you meet the above mentioned educational and medical standards. You may approach private institutes, fill forms and get started.
Most institutes have a Pilot Aptitude Test, which a candidate must clear, in order to get selected. The Aptitude test is a 3 stage process, comprising of- written examination, Interview and the Aptitude Test.
The written exam deals with subjects like- Mathematics, Geography, General Knowledge, English skills etc. This is followed by an Interview.
Candidates who manage to clear these two stages are called for the third stage- Pilot Aptitude Test. After the final stage, medical examination is conducted. Finally, a merit list is prepared, based on the performance of candidates in each stage of the selection process as well as the medical examination. Based on merit, deserving candidates will be selected and trained to become Pilot.
