The National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting the JEE Main 2026 registration for session 1 at jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates can apply for the exam using the direct link provided on this page. To submit the JEE Main 2026 application form, candidates have to complete registration, form-filling, upload documents and pay the fees. This year, the authorities have introduced a new live photo capture feature, which is mandatory to apply for the exam. Moreover, the authorities will allot the JEE Main 2026 exam centre based on the candidate's present/permanent address.

How to Apply for JEE Main 2026 Session 1?
- Visit the website, jeemain.nta.nic.in
- Click on the 'JEE Main 2026 Registration Link'
- Click on the new candidate registration button
- Complete the basic registration and create your login
- Re-login to fill out the complete form
- Upload the documents and pay the fee
- Submit your form and download the confirmation slip
JEE Main 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must check the eligibility criteria before filling out the JEE Main application form 2026:
- Candidates must have completed/ appearing in Class 12 in 2024, 2025 or 2026.
- There is no JEE Mains age limit.
- No minimum marks required in Class 12 to appear in JEE Mains.
The authority will conduct the JEE Main 2026 form correction for session 1 from December 1 to 2, 2025. Candidates who have made any mistakes in their submitted forms can use the facility to edit their details.

JEE Mains Application Form 2026 Session 1
The JEE Main 2026 registration form is available at jeemain.nta.nic.in 2026.
As per the JEE Main information brochure, both UDID card and PwD/PwBD certificates will be accepted. Candidates who do not have UDID card can upload their PwD/PwBD certificate at the time of filling application form. They can get the UDID certificate before the counselling admission process.
JEE Mains correction window 2026 will be open from December 1 to 2. The facility to make corrections will be available online on the JEE Main website jeemain.nta.nic.in. During the correction window, candidates are allowed to change/modify details filled in their application form. Candidates must note that not all fields in the application form will be open for correction. Only certain information like category, address of correspodance/permanent address, exam city preference, paper choice, signature etc. can be modified. Candidates might also be required to pay additional fees for making corrections in certain fields.

If candidates are facing issue in live photo capture, it can be due to mismatch from photo uploaded in Aadhar. For this, they need to visit the Aadhar update centre and get their current photo updated in the Aadhaar database.
The issue can also be due to any servor error/slow internet connectivity for which candidates can try uploading it after some time. Also, there can be a case of laptop/computer not supporting the webcame, for this, candidates can upload the photo using QR code provided in the application process.
