Civil has very knowledgeable faculty. They are very helpful too. We had civil for one semester as a first year subject so from that experience I can tell you that the faculty are quite obliging. As always there will be faculty whom you don't really prefer, but overall they are rather good.

The BMS Mechanical Engineering Department offers advanced instruction and research opportunities in a variety of areas of current interest. It offers programs like (B.E.)UG degree, (M.Tech)PG in specialized courses and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees.
The mechanical branch is pretty big with appropriate required labs and workshops.
This allows the students to participate actively in the learning process and also provide many opportunities to be involved in design competitions, projects, and research. The mechanical engineering program at BMS has been designed to take benefits of the unique and outstanding education. The CET ranks has to be nearly around 2000 to 4000.Undergraduate students can choose from a large list of available courses from the college.
The Department has organised many Real time projects and has won national level awards.
Regarding placements: Placement of Mechanical Department is comfortable as the companies which attend the college are core companies, and people do get placed in these companies ( Bosch ,L &T ,Toyota ,Schneider and few more) though the pay is abysmal compared to IT courses .
I can assure you that BMS mechanical engineering is considered to be one of the best.

CS in either college would be fine. And placements depend a lot on your CGPA and CV. They both get almost the same companies for placements. One difference would be that BMS is introducing mini projects each year starting from second year, so that would probably help. But , really either college CS is good.

Dear, it will better for u if u look for colleges like iit or nit rather than private colleges.if not possible than private colleges like bits pilani vit vellore ,manipal or srm etc.if u are appearing this year for jee and haven't got good marks then drop a year to get admission in any of the institute or chech mhrd ranking of engg.college to look for better college.

Well, only two IIT's offer B.Tech in Production Engineering ( very similar to indsutrial engineering), IIT Delhi and IIT Kharagpur. You can consider Vellore Institute of Technology, Tamil Nadu as well. The college's abmience is quite good. It's in the centre of the city. So commuting to places isn't a problem. The campus I'll admit is small as compared to other colleges. But I don't find that as a problem , in fact it's very convenient. The placements are generally good. It definitely varies from branch to branch, like it would in every college. The professors of my department, computer science are mostly good. The student life at BMS is excellent. Hope I answered your queries!

Cet rank of 5000 to 13000 can be good ,as cutoff is nearly 8000.
This is one of the best courses which deals all the uses of electronics in improving the health care for life threatening diseases.
This also has the advantage of giving knowledge and experience; that of an engineer and a doctor, and BMS is considered to be the one where you learn those experiences.
More fascinating is that engineers from other disciplines also focus on the new medical devices which nobody can't.
