The minimum eligibility criteria for B.Tech at PCE is a pass in the 12th standard examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, and a minimum aggregate score of 60% for General and OBC categories and 55% for SC, ST, and Physically Handicapped categories.However, PCE also offers Lateral Entry admission to Diploma holders and B.Sc graduates in the second year of B.Tech programs through a separate entrance exam called PCE-LEET. The minimum eligibility criteria for Lateral Entry admission are a Diploma in Engineering or Technology with a minimum aggregate score of 60% or a B.Sc degree with Mathematics as a compulsory subject with a minimum aggregate score of 60%.In case you have scored 70% in your 12th standard examination but have not appeared for the JEE Main exam, you may not be eligible for direct admission to B.Tech programs at PCE. Dr. MGR Institute would be a better choice. The packages of both the colleges are comparable, but the MGR college would provide a better campus life to you as it has wifi campus and well-equipped auditoriums unlike the MCE college which does not has any of these. Since it is very older than MCE, there is a better alumni network for the college. So, you can get better recommendations when you jump into internships and colleges. If you are getting same branch in both the colleges, than surely Dr MGR is the one you should go to.Thank you.
