At GIBS, faculty don't keep classes just theoretical. They keep connecting topics to real corporate situations and then turn those into small projects, assignments, or case studies that we work on as teams. Many of our sessions are followed by At GIBS, faculty don't keep classes just theoretical. They keep connecting topics to real corporate situations and then turn those into small projects, assignments, or case studies that we work on as teams. Many of our sessions are followed by guest talks where someone from the industry explains how the same concept works in actual companies, which makes it easier to understand and apply. Because of this format, classes feel more like exposure and training rather than just notes and PPTs. As a student, I personally like this method because it gives confidence for internships and placements and makes the subjects more practical and interesting.

Students consistently describe GIBS faculty as being involved and supportive of students through events, during sessions on-orientation and mentoring on campus. At orientation programs, professors have been described as approachable guides, helping new students better understand the program's curriculum, expectations, and learning culture, easing their transition into management studies and building their confidence towards the program. At events and interactive sessions, faculty have often acted as moderators/mentors/judges, sharing real-world experiences and encouraging active student participation in the learning process. Many students have mentioned that they can contact their professors outside class hours for questions and support regarding their projects and career paths, and that the faculty fosters an environment of learning and development.

GIBS Business School supports global engagement and worldwide opportunities for education through their partnerships, as well as various collaboration efforts and immersive experiences. Their Global Immersion Program provides students the opportunity to travel abroad (to city centres of business like Singapore, Malaysia and Dubai) to learn about global business directly through first-hand experiences including site visits and meetings with the people, businesses and organisations in those cities including workshops, lectures, sight-seeing tours and learning from other universities. To enhance their ability to offer Global Immersion Programs, GIBS has formed strategic alliances and agreements with many other universities overseas such as the European Global Institute of Innovation and Technology (EGIIT) located in Malta and other universities in Europe. These partnerships allow GIBS students and faculty to exchange knowledge and collaborate on joint research projects. Cross-cultural events will also provide GIBS students the opportunity to develop a global viewpoint. The knowledge and experiences gained through these international programs and collaborative alliances will prepare GIBS students for careers in a globally connected world through exposure to a wide range of international business practices and industry developments, while helping build their confidence and ability to succeed in today's highly competitive and interconnected business environment.

At GIBS campus, weekends are busy, bright and energetic, and mix activity with healthy relaxing time. Friendly sports tournaments such as cricket, football, badminton or playing indoor games provide an environment for building strong relationships and healthy competition amongst students. This is supported by a spectrum of extra-curricular activities - cultural festivals/clubs, music/dance practice and informal celebrations. The Mind Valley's lush green campus also enables students to have quiet relaxation through lawns, paved walkway areas SEATING AREAS, and an opportunity for students to be creative, have fun and unwind together, while also enjoying the benefits of mother nature. All these attributes make weekends @GIBS to be both exhilarating and invigorating.

With the recent upgrade to its new upgraded campus, GIBS Business School has significantly improved both the physical and technological resources available to students through upgraded classroom facilities, with improved air conditioning and access to modern interactive teaching aids such as smart boards and projectors. In addition to improving the quality of its classrooms, GIBS has increased the number of library and resource centre facilities and now offers a wider variety of physical and digital resources than previously available which allows students to have increased access to research materials and study spaces.In addition to upgrading the academic experience offered to students on the new campus, the campus also focuses on the comfort and overall growth of each GIBS student. GIBS has created a lush, calm environment conducive to learning, as well as social areas and recreational facilities for students to engage with their peers. Furthermore, GIBS provides dedicated areas for yoga, meditation, fitness, and sports. It has upgraded the accommodations for all GIBS students in its hostel facilities to a higher level of comfort and hygiene than previously experienced. These improvements represent GIBS's commitment to providing an interactive and supportive learning environment and will assist students in preparing for the real-world working environment they will be entering.

Examples of these are the big inter-college fests such as Enchainer; a management competition among colleges and their students. The highlights of Enchainer are numerous business competitions, quizzes, working on marketing and working through businesses, cultural performances and competitions offering prizes, all combine to produce an effective way to learn and have fun!Through their participation in events including the Global IRE Summit, Finance Conclave and Campus Biz Day, students have the opportunity to show off their creativity, innovations and entrepreneurial ideas.Regularly throughout the year, cultural celebrations are held including fests, music and dancing events, talent shows, festival celebrations and social events developing creativity, diversity and relationship development between students.In addition to larger events, smaller club activities and workshops across all business disciplines — marketing, finance, HR, entrepreneurship and culture — provide additional social and professional opportunities for students through regularly scheduled events, guest speaker events and interactive events enhancing students' learning experiences and developing their leadership skills.

The GIBS Business School promotes an environment of support, professionalism, and balance in relationships through its academic programs. Structured class timetables and regular attendance requirements, along with evaluating students on their assignments, presentations, quizzes, and class participation, encourage students to take responsibility and prepare for the corporate world. The coursework is appropriately paced for the number of hours of weekly class time; students engage in rigorous coursework (including case studies and live projects), complete group work, study for examinations and write assessments, but they also have enough time to continue with internships, prepare for job placements, and participate in other activities as well. Faculty, mentors, and academic coordinators are supportive of all students and provide them with ample opportunity to get answers to questions, discuss their work and receive feedback on their projects, and provide assistance in planning future careers. Students will be assisted by the placement team and faculty in finding appropriate career paths in analytics, finance, human resources, operations, research, back-end consulting or corporate support functions where communication skills are crucial but aggressive sales techniques are not required. Mock interviews, aptitude training, resume development, domain-based skill development and one-to-one mentoring will help students to gain confidence at their own pace and develop industry-specific skills. By interacting with industry professionals regularly, working on real-life projects and having access to internships, students have the opportunity to expose themselves to real-world experience in a low-pressure environment. Mentors provide continuous encouragement and support to help students overcome their self-doubt. The support system provided to students ensures that they will be placement-ready and placed into positions that align with their personalities and strengths.
