Start from day one.” Sounds simple, but once you actually apply it, things change. At GIBS they literally push us to keep updating our resume, do certifications, join clubs, attend IRE sessions, talk to mentors, and take small projects seriously instead of just focusing on exams.By the time placements start, you already have things to talk about and skills to show. Faculty always remind us that companies don't only check marks, they check exposure, confidence, clarity and initiative. That mindset shift probably helped most of us crack better roles.

Mornings are usually lectures, case-discussions, presentations, and a lot of interaction with faculty. After classes, you'll see people hanging around Mind Valley for short breaks, working on IRE ideas, or preparing for club work. Afternoons get busier with placement sessions, aptitude practice, or soft skill workshops. Even the mentors and coordinators randomly check on how we're preparing which keeps us motivated. Evenings are my favorite part because the vibe shifts from academic to campus life. Some go for sports, some chill, some join club meetings, and some end up sitting with friends discussing startup plans or projects. Because it's a 10-acre campus, it never feels crowded or boring. By the time the day ends, you feel like you've actually grown in some direction, whether it's confidence, skill, or knowledge. That's the part I always liked about GIBS — every day feels useful, not just “college for attendance.”

And the stipend thing really depends on profiles, but generally I've seen ranges anywhere from 5k to 25k per month, and some roles (especially sales/marketing/finance) go higher if it's PPO-linked.So internships aren't a struggle here — it actually feels like part of the routine at GIBS.

For me, GIBS maintains discipline more from a professionalism point of view than a rule-book point of view. Attendance matters because a lot of sessions are experience-based — live projects, corporate talks, events — missing one class means you actually miss something useful. Participation is kind of the main thing here; if you sit silent the whole time you'll feel left out.

A few of my batchmates came through state-level exams also, and some had both CAT and MAT scores. It honestly makes the process easier because you don't get stuck with only one exam option.I personally felt it's helpful for students like us who are juggling between different exams, because GIBS doesn't make it overly complicated. Even if the score isn't extremely high, they still look at your profile, interview performance, and motivation to study PGDM or MBA. So the entrance exams matter, but they don't keep it overly stressful or gate-kept, which is something I genuinely liked about GIBS.

As a student, I've seen how they start grooming us from day one itself — communication training, aptitude, GDs, mock interviews, networking, all of that keeps happening casually in the background.Plus GIBS has this crazy corporate network that keeps coming on campus for talks, internships, and projects, so by the time final placements start companies already know us and we've already built a profile. And we don't go into interviews empty — live projects + internships + IRE sessions + certifications give you real stuff to talk about. What I really felt is — GIBS doesn't treat placements like a formality, they treat it like the end goal of the whole PGDM/BBA journey. So even weaker or shy students get pulled up and prepared properly. That's why hitting 100% placement feels normal here and not hype.

Honestly at GIBS, things never stay just “theory”. We get live projects, case studies, and loads of corporate talks that make us think like actual managers. Live projects give real work experience, case studies sharpen decision-making, and corporate sessions show what companies actually expect. So by the time placements start, we've already faced real scenarios, interacted with industry people, and built confidence. That's how GIBS quietly bridges the gap without making it feel stressful.
