We actually learn teamwork, planning, communication, and leadership by doing real activities on campus. Recruiters love seeing that kind of exposure because it shows that we can handle responsibilities beyond academics. Also, being in committees like placement, cultural, IRE, or marketing helps us interact with corporates, organize events, coordinate with faculty, and work under time pressure. These experiences become super useful in interviews because we have actual examples to talk about. It also helps with confidence and makes the resume look strong with real achievements. Overall, clubs and committees make a big difference when it comes to placements.

The team actually guides you step by step for documents, fee payment, visa process, and even small doubts about accommodation and travel. A few of my classmates from abroad shared that they didn't feel lost because the counsellors kept in touch through calls and emails.Once you join, the campus culture is also friendly so you don't feel out of place. They mix academics with a lot of activities, so settling in becomes smoother. I honestly feel GIBS tries to give a proper global exposure environment, not just for Indian students, but also for international ones.

The CPM/finishing school itself runs almost like a separate layer on top of PGDM — regular skill-building sessions, aptitude training, communication practice, mock GDs, mock interviews, resume work, plus recruiter-specific prep. If you count it roughly, by 2nd year we easily cross a few hundred hours of structured training without even realizing it because it's spread across weeks and semesters. And apart from the official sessions, we have IRE workshops, bootcamps, events, and mentor reviews that also add up to placement prep indirectly. It's not like “two months crash course before placements” — it's continuous grooming from day 1, so by final placements you're already conditioned for interviews and corporate expectations.
