They don't keep it too formal — it's more like real learning from real people. They bring HRs, managers, and corporate trainers to campus for mock interviews and resume sessions.Experts conduct workshops, take small group sessions, and give honest feedback on how to improve.Students get to ask questions directly and understand what companies actually look for.During placement season, industry people guide students on how to handle interviews, GDs, and corporate expectations. They also share real work-life examples, which makes learning super relatable.Overall, GIBS makes sure students get exposure from actual industry professionals, so when placements happen, you feel prepared and confident.

At GIBS Business School, syndicate groups facilitate the learning process in a collaborative effort among peers and expose students to practical experiences through projects, case studies, and activities such as Campus Biz and experiential learning modules. These groups have small teams in which students work together on assignments, presentations, and real-time business tasks under the mentorship of faculty members. Though there is no clearly mentioned policy in this regard, group formation is normally done in the beginning, commonly based on the academic requirements, diversity, or faculty planning of the program. Generally, changes are not practiced among them since groups are formed with the aim of stability and teamwork. However, in case of serious issues or valid academic reasons, a student may request a change through the programme coordinator or academic office, and their applications are considered on a case-by-case basis.

GIBS Business School, Bangalore, has a number of student clubs and committees aiming to develop leadership, creativity, and professional skills among students. There are societies for Marketing, Finance, HR, AI & Technology, CSR, Sports, Cultural & Creativity Societies, and many more, all providing hands-on opportunities to apply classroom learning to real-world scenarios. The School of Youth Leadership (SoYL) helps students develop leadership and teamwork competencies through workshops, mentorship, and experiential projects. In this regard, TEDxGIBS Bangalore, which provides a platform for public speaking, has been a great facilitator in terms of strategic thinking and personal branding, as well as the BMP-Business Mastery Programme. GIBS also conducts the Campus-to-Corporate (C2C) Program, where industry leaders interact with students to bridge the gap between academics and corporate life. Additionally, the Innovation, Research & Entrepreneurship-IRE platform encourages students to develop entrepreneurial ideas and engage in research projects. All these clubs cumulatively provide a dynamic learning environment that fosters confidence, nurtures collaboration, and leads to all-round professional growth.
