At GIBS Business School in Bangalore, no specific cutoffs have been published for the different specialisations like Marketing, Finance and HR. The criteria for getting into GIBS generally relies on your overall PGDM eligibility and the scores from the entrance exams rather than having separate cutoffs for each specialisation. However, here are some general benchmarks that you could look at for reference for PGDM/MBA admissions:Overall Admission Entrance Exam Typical Cutoff Percentile (General Candidates):CAT – approximately 60 percentileMAT – approximately 60-64 percentile (64 percentile as seen in the latest cycle)CMAT – approximately 60 percentileATMA – approximately 60 percentileXAT – approximately 60 percentileThe above figures are based on current reaction to previous admissions; actual cutoffs may change from year to year, because of factors like number of applicants, difficulty of the exams, and available seats. For BBA Programs:BBA admission has no formal entrance cutoff, as admission is based purely based on class 12 (10+2) merit (no formal entry exams), and shortlisted students may be invited to participate in an interview/assessment process.

Yes, GIBS Business School provides opportunities for international placements and internships that are limited and based on a few partnerships and programs instead of being available to every GIBS student. The school partners with international universities and organizations to host students in countries like Canada, the U.S., and Dubai, depending on the availability of positions and the student's performance. So as part of GIBS' Global Immersion Programs, students also travel to Singapore, Malaysia, and Dubai for industrial visits, workshops, and university visits; these experiences help students build an international corporate network and learn from world-class business professionals. While the ability for students to receive international placements will ultimately depend on job availability, the eligibility of students, as well as recruiter participation, GIBS supports its students' goals for global internships or global assignments through GIBS' corporate relations team and with global partners, thereby increasing the student's opportunity to work internationally in support of their career development.

The admission processes for GIBS Business School in Bangalore have had an equal emphasis or priority for them: to create an environment that nurtures holistic development of all applicants through the evaluation and selection processes. More specifically, through their evaluation and selection process, they have established a historical trend for both CAT and MAT entrance exams; where successful applicants generally score above 60 percentile or higher on exams, with the exception of some years where the cut-off score for both the CAT and MAT were slightly lower or higher than indicated. The typical MAT cut-off year-to-year is around 60-65 percentile or higher; likewise, with a higher score being highly beneficial in increasing one's chances for an interview invitation and increased chances for a scholarship.GIBS Business School accepts other entrance exams including CMAT, XAT, ATMA, and GMAT, with a similar evaluation of moderate proficiency for each exam, while placing more importance on interview performance, past academic history, group discussion skills and overall applicant profile rather than solely on a cut-off score alone. In summary, GIBS offers CAT and MAT exam cut-off scores that are somewhat attainable through focused preparation, and entrance exam scores are only part of the overall evaluation process.
