It focuses a lot on practical learning and overall student development. They have something called a Finishing School every Saturday where students get trained in soft skills and personality development, which really helps during placements. The campus is also lively and full of events, guest lectures, and real-time projects. Plus, the placement record at GIBS is quite strong. So if you're looking for a college that supports you in every way – from academics to personal growth – GIBS is definitely a great choice.

Omar Raman's story represents one of the most extraordinary success stories to come from GIBS. When he arrived at GIBS, he was a struggling student who had failed many subjects and was still unsure of what he wanted to do. He embarked on a new journey by not thinking about his cricket dreams and instead focusing on his studies. He embraced every opportunity, it was all about the experiences! He developed a mindset that was focused on resilience, educating himself and listening to the self-belief that grounded him. By 2025, he was awarded Student of the Year. This was for all reasons, not just his grades. His transformation, leadership and entrepreneurship were all part of earning his Student of the Year recognition at GIBS. Omar's journey to date is a story of success not always being linear - its how high can you rise, not where you start! Omar is now preparing to launch a new technology start-up!

The GIBS Business School entry requirements are reasonable and accommodating for many applicants. This relates most specifically to PGDM admissions where the candidate's profile also contributes toward admission decisions.GIBS Cut-Offs (PGMD- Entrance Exams):CAT: 60-65 percentileXAT: 60 percentileCMAT: 60 percentile MAT: 60-64 percentileATMA: 60 percentile Other accepted exams GMAT, state CET (example KMAT).Notes about Cut-Offs:There are no extremely high cut offs- GIBS does not require that you have very high scores like IIMs.A minimum score of approximately 60% is typically sufficient for application purposes. The cut off is mainly used as part of the short-listing process for candidates to participate in GD & PI.The entrance exam only has limited weighting (approximately 20%) in the final selection process.Candidates will be selected holistically using the following-Academic historyPerformance in GD (Group Discussion)Performance in PI (Personal Interview)Completion level of verbal and non-verbal skills including how the person presents himself or herselfFlexibility - In cases where candidates receive somewhat lower than average amounts of score based upon above criteria, candidates can still be selected providing they have performed well on the interview.
