BDS is a prominent course of Maulana Institute of Dental Sciences. MAIDS Delhi offers a four-year BDS or Bachelor of Dental Surgery programme followed by a one-year compulsory rotating internship training. One of the important parameters, fee is very less for BDS programme. Being a government institute, MAIDS BDS fee very less in comparison to other Dental Colleges in Delhi. Besides, the institute conducts placement drive every year. According to Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences NIRF report 2024, the median package offered during BDS placements in 2023 was INR 14.35 LPA.

The admission for BDS would be made strictly based on merit of the eligible candidates in each category, determined by marks obtained in the NEET. Faculty of Medical Sciences, DU releases a merit list based on the rank secured by the aspirants in NEET cutoff.Selected candidates are further called for counselling. The counselling for 15% of the total seats is conducted by the MCC (AIQ) and the counselling for the remaining 85% of the seats is conducted by the Faculty Of Medical Sciences (Delhi State Quota). Candidates are required to select MAIDS BDS during counselling to get a seat in the institute. Aspirants who have been allotted a seat receive admission letter. They need to pay a course fee to confirm their seat in the institute.

Further, aspirants are required to register with Faculty of Medical Sciences, DU. The application Form may also be downloaded from Faculty website and the same may be sent to the Deputy Registrar, Faculty of Medical Sciences. Follow the below steps to apply for BDS:Step 1: Visit the official website of Faculty of Medical Sciences.Step 2: Download the application form from the website.Step 3: Fill out the form.Step 4: Submit the form along with self-attested copies of the specified documents and pay the application fee INR 750 for General/ OBC (INR 550 for SC/ ST category) in the form of DD/ Cheque.

As per the Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences cutoff 2023, the closing rank for Public Health Dentistry in 2023 was 87 for Round 2. In 2022, the general category cutoff ranged between 7469th to 8886th rank, and the SC category cutoff was lower. For NEET-MDS, the overall cutoff in 2023 was 3 - 87 rank. The closing cutoff rank for BDS at MAIDS in 2024 was 23578 for the All-India Quota and 24946 for the Delhi Quota for the General Category.
